It's not that I don't appreciate other types of cycling, it's that I enjoy single speed mountain biking the most. In fact I have several other bikes including multi-geared Mountain and Road bikes that have seen less duty since my introduction to the off road mono-cog.
The attraction is the "purity" of single speed riding. The uncluttered clean lines of the bike, the unpretentious technology and the reliability keep the focus on the RIDE and not what I'm riding. It's just plain old fashion fun!
